“The
Challenge”
In the past few months, many of us
attended one or more of the District Conferences. At our District Conference in Englewood, Colorado
we received the District VI Snap Shot.
It gave us our membership numbers plus other vital data. Hopefully those in attendance have shared
this information with their Chapters, Express Networks, and Councils.
At the District Conference in Niagara Falls, there
was a challenge made to all districts to have a 10% increase in members
attending the 2008 National Conference from the previous year. Is District VI ready for that
challenge? Our District has always
been one of the leaders in attendance at the National Women’s
Leadership Conferences regardless of the location. At the 2007 National Conference, we had
99 registered voting members. We can
meet and exceed the challenge by having more than 109 voting
attendees.
Also individually and collectively
we can impact the future of our Association by attending the National
Leadership Conference October 2 – 4, 2008 in Covington, Kentucky. A full registration will entitle you to
participate in the election process for your 2008-2009 National Board. Additionally, there will be a myriad of
educational tracks, keynote speakers, and entertainment extraordinaire. The May-June issue of “Women In Business”
has a pull out insert which contains all the pertinent information. National Leadership Conferences are
excellent opportunities to use educational funds to promote professional
development and to be in compliance with best practices within our local
leagues.
MEET THE CHALLENGE AND
SEE DISTRICT VI EXCEL AGAIN!
